Soviet forces are shown in combat with soldiers of Nazi Germany during the Siege of Sevastopol and Crimean Campaign which lasted from September 24, 1941, to July 4, 1942. Sevastopol was a key naval base of the Black Sea fleet, where Red Army soldiers and sailors displayed heroism and valour. During the 10 months of the siege, the Soviet forces contained Nazi Germany on the southern front and prevented them from launching an offensive on the Caucasus.
