I received this cover from a stamp collector/seller in France a few days back. Three (possibly four) LA POSTE REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE postage stamps were affixed to the envelope:
- The 25th International Congress of Geography held in Paris-Alpes in 1984, featured a mountainous landscape, likely representing the Alps, and included the text "25e Congres International de Geographie Republique Francaise".
- The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Plenipotentiary Conference held in Nice in 1989, depicted a modern building and included the text "Union Internationale des Telecommunications Conference de Plenipotentiaires UIT Nice 89".
- The 1997 World Judo Championships commemorated a judo practitioner in action and included the text "Championnats du Monde de Judo 1997 République Francaise".
