CZECHOSLOVAKIA on 5 July 1966 and 7 February 1981 issued First Day Cover stamps of "Guernica" by Pablo Picasso to mark: first, the 30th Anniversary of the International Brigades in Spain; and then, second, the centenary of Picasso's birth. The designer of this multicolour stamp was Josef Hercik. A recess printing methods was used. The postmark cancellation of both FDCs originated from Prague.
