Postes Royaume Du Laos "Arts & Decorations"

POSTES ROYAUME DU LAOS on 21 February 1967 issued four First Day Cover stamps under the heading "Arts & Decorations". A limited edition of 1,500 FDCs were released by PTT philatelic service. Government Printing Works of Paris printed the stamps.


Stamp descriptions:
- 5 K - Dancing Shiva with trident, conqueror of the dragon (naga).
Siprapouthbat Pagoda.

- 20 K - Buddha on lotus throne in princely jewelery. Visoun Pagoda.

- 50 K - Fire god Ani (god of purification) sitting on the Garuda (mythical bird. Xiengthong Pagoda.

- 70 K - Dancing Apsara (celestial nymph). Visoun Pagoda.
