POS INDONESIA on 1 January 1991 issued a series of First Day Cover stamps to mark "Visit Indonesia Year 1991". There were four stamps in total released; two featured the same image, only the denomination was different. All of the images featured dancers in their traditional dress from three regions of Indonesia. A photogravure method was used. Postmark cancellation originated from Jakarta. The cachet depicts a Balinese landmark and dancers.
