Papua & New Guinea Post "Pictoral Issue" - 1952

 

PAPUA & NEW GUINEA POST released on 30 October 1952  a set of  First Day Cover stamps entitled "The Pictoral Issue"  showing local topics and bearing the name "Territory of Papua and New Guinea". The topics featured included  local cultures, fauna and flora. These stamps would remain in circulation up until 1959
