PAPUA NEW GUINEA POST from 1973 till 1974 issued 19 definitive stamps called "Panorama of Papua New Guinea". The series was released in four parts, It depicted aspects of life in the different Districts of Papua New Guinea. The stamps were printed by Serint, and replaced the definitive series of Shells issued in 1968-69. The designer was Richard Bates. First Day Cover postmarks originated from Port Moresby.
