French Indo-Chine Surcharge and French Colony Stamps on Mekong River House, early 1900s

FRENCH INDO-CHINE issued between 1904-1906 a series of surcharge stamps showing a woman. Eugène Grasset designed the stamp,  whereas Imperial Printing Office (Imprimerie Nationale), Paris was the main printer. The company used a Typography printing method. Initially the stamp was proposed for France but was retained for Indochina instead. Shown here are two of those definitive stamps with a face values of 1 c and 2 c (French centime). The other stamp shown on this postcard is the French Republic Colonies (Indo-Chine) which  was first issued in 1901. It had a  face value of 1 Centime. Postmark cancellation on the postcard was dated 7 September 1905, St. Jacques, Indo-Chine and received in Zurich, Switzerland on 3 October 1905. The postcard itself depicts a village along the Mekong River. It was printed by Collection Phenix Molfet et C, publishers in Saigon, circa early 1900s.
