SAAR Commemorative Postcard & Stamp Peter Wust

SAAR COMMEMORATIVE POSTCARD for the Peter Wust Festakademie, which was held in Saarbrücken, Germany, on 3 April 1970. It featured a portrait of German philosopher Peter Wust. The event was a "Festakademie" (celebratory academy) held on the 30th anniversary of his death ("30. Todestag").

The postcard includes two cancellations, both from "SAARBRÜCKEN", dated 3 April 1970.

It also includes a stamp featuring a horse-drawn carriage, which was a "Droschkenkutscher" (cab driver) stamp issued by DEUTSCHE BUNDESPOST BERLIN German Federal Post (West Germany).

SAAR (French Protectorate Post-WWII) issued in 1952 a commemorative stamp of Peter Wust (1884–1940),  a German Catholic existentialist philosopher. The value of the stamp was 15 French francs ("15F"). The text "H.-V. PARIS" refers to the engraver and printer of the stamp, Henri-Victor Paris.
