MAGYAR POSTA in 1965 released a set of nine stamps on the theme of Arabian Nights. Back then, the Forint was the Hungarian currency - 1 Forint (Ft) = 100 Fillér (f). Fillér; it has since been phased out. The stamps were illustrated by two Hungarian women who maintained a consistent artistic style through the set.
The stamps depicted the following stories:
