TERRITOIRE DU FEZZAN (FRENCH LIBYA) on 24 June 1951 issued three stamps honouring Bey Ahmed (Hamad bin Saif Al-Nasr): (20f black-brown/25f black-blue/50f black-orange). The designer was Arazou and engraver was Charles Mazelin.
Hamad bin Saif Al-Nasr (1877-1954 AD), was one of the senior leaders of the jihad in Libya against Italian colonialism (1911-1942 AD), ruler of Fezzan (1943-1951 AD), then the governor of Fezzan (1951-1954 AD) after the unification of Libya and the establishment ofthe United Kingdom of Libya, sheikh of the tribes Awlad Suleiman, and the leader of the tribes of the upper class.
