NIPPON POST on 10 May 1958 issued a First Day Cover stamp commemorating commemorating the 100th anniversary of the opening of the Port of Japan to foreign trade. It featured the bronze statue of Li Naosuke and two ships representative of the 19th and 20th centuries. The designers were Katsuzo Oshikiri (E) | Masaru Kimura. The Government Printing Bureau, Tokyo printed the multicoloured stamp.
