Malayan Airways "First Friendship Flight Between Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok" - 1963

MALAYSIA (Malayan Airways) issued on 11 September 1963 a First Day Cover cachet marking the Malayan Airways "First Friendship Flight Between Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok". The Thailand stamps on the cover included images of King Rama XI Bhumibol Adulyadjeh with face value of 10 and 25ST, which were issued in 1963. An earlier stamp of King Rama 1X Bhumibol Adulyadjeh with face value of 2 Baht was issued in 1961. In addition to these, a 1963  stamp marking the 80th Anniversary of the Post and Telegraph Department, which had a face value of 50ST, was affixed to the cover.

When Singapore seceded from Malaysia, Malayan Airways eventually became Malaysia Airlines and Singapore Airlines.
