GIBRALTAR POST issued a First Day Cover sheetlet and information card on the 1300th Anniversary of Tariq ibn Ziyad's
conquest of Gibraltar and the Iberian peninsula. The name 'Gibraltar' is
derived from his name Jabal Tariq (mountain of Tariq). This set of
stamps was issued in 2011.
