Nevis Philatelic Bureau Zetland Plantation

NEVIS PHILATELIC BUREAU in 1981 released a commemorative stamp and maxi card of the Zetland Plantation.

Nevis was the largest producer of sugar cane in the Empire of the United Kingdom in the 17th century. The Zetland Plantation included 750 acres a century after the independence of Saint Kitts, Nevis and Anguilla from the United Kingdom. Today, this historic site is comprised of the core 13.943 acres, including the landmark restored Sugar Mill from the 18th century.
