LA POSTE FRANCE over the years has issued various stamps on Napoleon Bonaparte, including First Day Cover commemorative stamps of his birthplace (in 1969), his coronation (in 1974) and his civil code (in 1980). Shown here is an artistic philatelic sheet in landscape format (31.1 x 21.6 cm), printed on thick glossy paper, published by the social works of the PTT staff and the CEF and foreign commercial network for the benefit of the social works of the PTT. It contains original cancelled First Day Cover stamps, a color illustration of Napoleon's birthplace and an explanatory leaflet.
