USPS Edward R. Murrow.

USPS in 1994 released a First Day Cover stamp of Edward R. Murrow along with official gold foil stamp of him. Included with this FDC was an explanatory card on Edward R. Murrow.

I purchased this stamp as I do many postage stamps for either personal, cultural or historical reasons. Murrow just happens to be one of those people who I admire not only for his professionalism as a journalist but also as a person who had the courage to challenge the establishment, particularly during the McCarthy era.
