DER DEUTSCHEN BUNDESPOST (former West Germany) in 1987 issued a commemorative stamp of King Ludwig II of Bavaria. The stamp was affixed to a 1901 postcard replica of the Bavarian. village of Lohr Am Main.
Another postcard features him with a montage of his castles. The same stamp is affixed to the card, postmarked Berlin.
